Cocktails with Balena Pink Gin — Mixology Recipes
When Balena Pink Gin Meets the Art of Mixology
Six signature cocktails that celebrate the magic of transformation. From blue to pink, every sip tells the story of the sea, of Rimini, and of the gin that knows when it's time to change.

Balena Pink Gin & Tonic
Balena Pink finds its purest expression in a gin & tonic. It's not just a cocktail — it's a spectacle that unfolds anew each time, always different, always surprising.
Ingredients:
- 50 ml Balena Pink
- 150 ml quality neutral tonic water
- Ice
Method::
Fill a large glass with ice, pour in the gin, then gently add the tonic. Sit back and enjoy the magic as blue transforms into pink.
Garnish::
Fresh citrus zest and a thin slice of ginger.
Pink Mule
A Moscow Mule twist with a balsamic soul
Ingredients:
- 50 ml Balena Pink
- 20 ml fresh lime juice
- Ginger beer, to top
- Ice
- A sprig of helichrysum or rosemary
Method::
Fill a highball glass with ice, pour in the gin and lime, then top with ginger beer. Stir gently.
Garnish::
A sprig of helichrysum, rubbed along the rim of the glass.

L’ISOLA DELLE ROSE
A tribute to Giorgio Rosa, the Bologna engineer who in 1968 founded an independent state off the coast of Romagna. He changed the rules. He stirred the European Parliament. Today, it's a cocktail.
Ingredients:
- 4 cl Gin Balena Pink
- 3 cl Bianco Sarti (Rimini white vermouth)
- 1.5 cl fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 cl elderflower syrup
- 2 dash Angostura bitter
- 3-4 fresh mint leaves
- 2 thin slices of ginger
- Ice
Method::
An ice-cold double cocktail coupe (chilled in the freezer for at least 30 minutes). Dry shake for 5 seconds to emulsify the mint and ginger, then shake with ice for 12-15 seconds until the shaker frosts over. Double strain (Hawthorne strainer + fine strainer) into the coupe.
Garnish::
Expressed orange peel, mint leaf in the centre.
Negroni Whale
A maritime, aromatic Negroni — a tribute to the whale of '43
Ingredients:
- 30 ml Balena Pink
- 30 ml red bitter (such as Campari)
- 30 ml red vermouth (with citrus notes)
- Ice
Method::
Pour all ingredients into a rocks glass over ice. Stir gently. The salt and botanicals of the gin add depth to this timeless classic.
Garnish::
Dehydrated orange wheel and mandarin peel.
